This month at The Fostering Company we celebrated our 10th anniversary of looking after care experienced children in the North East!
To mark the anniversary and to thank foster carers, social workers and supporting staff, we held a party at our offices in Killingworth, where everyone was treated to breakfast and cake, and several speeches took place. The celebration was an opportunity for everyone to get together, celebrate their commitment to looking after children in care and receive recognition for their dedication to the roles they play in children’s lives.
Camilla Hunter, Registered Manager at The Fostering Company: “We had a wonderful day celebrating our 10th anniversary. After so many years of us all not being able to get together, it was lovely to all be in the same room and catch up. More importantly, it was great to be able to thank our foster carers and colleagues for the life-changing work they do helping to turn children’s lives around.”
As an independent fostering provider and part of a social enterprise that offers various types of fostering, including permanent, non-permanent, short breaks, parent and child, sibling groups and children with disabilities, we were delighted to take a moment and celebrate with our fostering friends, families and colleagues.
